Sardinia - the pearl of Italy
On the sea
Undoubtedly, the main tourist brand of Sardinia is the sea - the cleanest and most transparent in Italy. And its beaches are 1850 kilometers! - This is a quarter of all the beaches of Italy. Here, next to modern resorts, which boast a full range of services and developed infrastructure, there are still completely untouched paradises of nature - beaches with white, gold and pink sand, secluded rocky coves with magical grottoes, picturesque lagoons where pink flamingos live . Such a rare combination of pure ecology, picturesque nature and various entertainments attracts travelers from all over the world to Sardinia.
According to local legend, it was here that the Creator first stepped on the earth, leaving his divine mark. The shape of Sardinia really resembles a sole. Maybe that's why the ancient sailors, when they first saw Sardinia, called it in Greek “sandaliotis” - sandal. And God, as legend has it, endowed this blessed land with all the beauty that he could create. Therefore, the colors of wildlife here are so bright and unusual: the sea is bright turquoise, rocks are the color of porphyry. Sardinia is not only the sea. These are vineyards and protected forests, in which rare species of animals and plants have been preserved. In Sardinia, the famous myrtle trees grow, the leaves of which the sardis use in their kitchen. Myrtle liqueur is not much compared with its beneficial properties and amazing taste. It is said that its regular use prolongs life. Aliens already in ancient times were amazed at this abundance, and many envied the sardis, believing that for one island all these natural riches were even too much.
Sardinia is shaped like a sandal. According to legend, the Creator left his mark on this earth.
