Berry smoothie - a very healthy vitamin smoothie
But while experts argue about whether vitamin supplements are useful or not, scientists at the Karolinsk Institute (Sweden) conducted a series of studies proving that useful substances derived from food provide significant help to the body in protecting against colds. So, for women whose diet includes more than 200 mg of vitamin C per day, the chances of catching a cold or getting the flu are almost 40% less than those who do not receive ascorbic acid. Strengthening the protection against colds is simple: for breakfast, prepare smoothies with 1 cup of frozen strawberries, cherries or black currants (60 mg of vitamin C), for lunch, decorate with rings of red bell pepper (30-40 mg) a piece of chicken or turkey breast, and dinner, prepare 4 medium broccoli inflorescences (about 100 mg).
