Fat burning hormone discovered
American scientists from the Boston Dana-Farber Cancer Institute made a discovery that could lead to a revolutionary anti-obesity drug.
Fat burning hormone
The hormone released during exercise and leading to weight loss can be a cure. Studying the mechanism of burning fat during exercise, the researchers discovered a new hormone that is formed in actively working muscles and leads to a decrease in body weight and normalization of blood sugar levels. The hormone was given the name "irisin" in honor of the Greek goddess Irida.
With the artificial introduction of the preparation of the hormone burning fat into the subcutaneous adipose tissue of mice, fat cells began to degenerate and actively expend energy, turning it into heat. Since the chemical structure of the hormone in mice and humans is the same, we can talk about the prospects of creating drugs for burning fat, reducing weight and preventing the development of type II diabetes.
